Guangzhou, China. Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) now has a new official website that has been radically improved.
The government’s primary agency -- responsible for the promotion and facilitation of investments in Tanzania -- launched the new website here on Wednesday. The website provides detailed information as TIC embraces the process of “e-Regulations” (the digitisation government administrative processes).
It is hoped that, the website, www.tic.co.tz will transform the way Tanzanians at home and investors abroad interact with the government and how they complete governmental administrative procedures such as registering their companies, registering for taxation and other services. The TIC executive director, Ms Juliet Kairuki, officially launched the website at the Tanzania-China Business Forum here on Wednesday.
Ms Kairuki is part of a senior Tanzanian government delegation led by Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda, on a 9-day visit to China aimed at bolstering trade and investment links between the two countries.
“TIC’s new website provides a single (one-stop) platform for domestic and foreign investors to access information relevant to making investments in Tanzania,” she said during the launch.
She said, the new web-based approach brings transparency to the administrative process detailing clearly what needs to be done and making this information available to the public for free.
She further said that the newly launched website states clearly the official government sanctioned fees that may need to be paid for a particular administrative step - eliminating any confusion.
