Muhongo donates four ambulances in Musoma

MP Musoma Rural Sospeter Muhongo said that he would make sure that within four years all the 23 dispensaries in the constituency would each have an ambulance saying he was going deliver all the ambulances in phases.

Musoma. Member of Parliament for Musoma Rural Sospeter Muhongo has donated an ambulance each to four dispensaries in the constituency in a bid to improve health services.

Speaking at Kurugee Village on Thursday, Prof Muhongo said the ambulances should be used to save lives, “People living rural settings deserve quality health services,” he said, noting that the four vehicles would be handy for expectant mothers.

He said that he would make sure that within four years all the 23 dispensaries in the constituency would each have an ambulance. He said he was going deliver all the ambulances in phases.

“Priority will be given to the most remote villages,” he said.

So far, Prof Muhongo has donated five ambulances to health facilities in his constituency including one he donated last April to Murangi Health Centre. Other dispensaries that have benefitted from the donation include Masinono, Kurugee, Nyakatende and Mugango.
