Moshi tycoon widow charged for murdering inlaw

 Ms Mrita,41, from Sakina kwa Idd , Arusha  was arraigned before resident magistrate Magreth Bankika and was not allowed to enter any plea since the court has no jurisdiction to hear the murder case  normally heard by the High Court.

Dar es Salaam. The widow of late businessman Erasto Msuya, Miriam Mrita has been charged at Kisutu Resident Magistrate's Court for murdering her sister in law, Anneth Msuya.

 Ms Mrita,41, from Sakina kwa Idd , Arusha  was arraigned before resident magistrate Magreth Bankika and was not allowed to enter any plea since the court has no jurisdiction to hear the murder case  normally heard by the High Court.

The prosecution-led by State Attorney Diana Lukondo- alleged that the accused murdered Aneth Elisaria Msuya on May 25 this year in Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam.

 The case was adjourned to September 6 when it will comes up for mention following further investigation.

The late Aneth Msuya, an economist with the Ministry of Finance and Planning, was found dead with her throat slit.

 According to media reports, her four years-old son said unknown people arrived at their home at night and sprayed some chemical liquid on his face.

When the boy came to in the morning,he found his mother murdered.  Anneth's  brother Erasto Msuya was shot dead in Arusha on August 7,2013.  The late Msuya, a renowned businessman in Arusha, was a Tanzanite dealer in Mererani.
