Sumbawanga residents to access clean water

The premier said the project is funded by the European Union (EU) as well as the German government through its development bank, KfW. According to a statement circulated to media outlets, EU and KfW has injected a total of Sh31 billion for the implementation of the project.

Dar es Salaam. Residents of Sumbawanga will have access to clean and safe water from mid next month.

 Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa delivered the good news when laying a foundation stone to another water and sanitation project implemented by India-based Techno Fab Gammon Joint Venture.

Mr Majaliwa said currently, the project, supervised by Sumbawanga Water and Sanitation (SUWASA), is 85 per cent completed.
