TEA accoutnant faces theft case

Magistrate Obadia Bwegoge adjourned the case until August 26 when it will come for cross examination.

With regard to the check list Mr Mwasalyanda told the court that it was signed by two signatories whom he named as  Mr Seif Mohamed, who is Director of mobilisation and acquisition of fund and Mr Moshi Juma, who is chief accountant.

Dar es Salaam. Former Tanzania Education Authority (TEA) accountant Mr Isaiah Mwasalyanda has presented his defense in a case accusing him of embezzling Sh20 million from Mwasa Saving and Credit Cooperative Society (SACCOS).

Mr Mwasalyanda is also accused of forging a CRDB bank slip as well as TEA check list which enabled him to draw Sh20.3 million from Mwasa Saccos. The accused appeared before Kinondoni resident magistrate Obadia Bwegoge on Tuesday.
