Chadema suspends ‘defiance rallies’

Dar es Salaam. The main opposition party Chadema has postponed the ‘defiance rally’ slated for tomorrow, until October 1 due to appeals from various groups including  religious leaders.

Chadema national chairman Mr Freeman Mbowe revealed this earlier today during a press conference held at the party’s headquarters.

“We have postponed the demonstration to give room for dialogue between religious leaders and President John Magufuli,” Mr Mbowe told the press.
