Tanzanians reminded to respect laws as they celebrate Eid ul Fitri

Dar es Salaam. The police has reminded Tanzanians to observe laws during Eid ul Fitri festivities.

A statement released by police spokesperson Advera Bulimba urges the people to report any person likely to breach the peace.

The Police Force ensures safety and security to the people and their properties during the Eid ul Fitri festivities.

Speaking in the press release, Police Force Communication Officer Advera Bulimba says the security and safety of citizens and their properties remains priority during the festivities.

She adds that the force has enough human resources and equipment to ensure mosques, beaches and all clubs are well secured.

“We understand that, there are some people, who are plan to use Eid ul Fitri festivities as a chance to do criminal offences. I advise them to stop it at once because we won’t spare them,” she stresses.

She also warns against individuals to take care of themselves and their properties by avoid wandering in suspicious or dangerous places.

Again she insists citizens to not hesitate giving information to the Police Force through phone No 111 or 112, whenever they feel or sense that there are signs of criminal acts in their neighbourhoods.

Further, the Police Force also warns against motor vehicle owners to respect traffic signs and regulations, when driving.

“We will not hesitate to take legal action if you violate traffic regulations,” she says, adding that they will deal with reckless drivers and motorcyclists.
