Former PM Lowassa mourns over fallen Chadema MP

According to the statement released by the Bunge’s communication department on Saturday, the late Bilago will be laid to rest in Kakonko district, Kigoma region.

Dar es Salaam. Former Prime Minister Edward Lowassa is among the mourners arrived earlier on Sunday at the home of the fallen Buyungu MP Kasuku Bilago (Chadema) at Kawe area in the city.

Lowassa who serves as a Chadema’s member of the central committee has also participated in the burial arrangements organised by the family of the deceased and some senior party officials.

Others that arrived were Chadema national chairman Freeman Mbowe,  party secretary general Dr Vecent Mashinji, Prof Mwesigwa Baregu and some legislators on Chadema ticket.

Tomorrow, Monday 28, the body of the fallen lawmaker will be airlifted to Dodoma. Legislators will pay their last respect in the parliament.

According to the statement released by the Bunge’s communication department on Saturday, the late Bilago will be laid to rest in Kakonko district, Kigoma region.

The opposition lawmaker died on Saturday afternoon at the Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) where he was receiving treatment since Tuesday, May 22.
