Hans Poppe, another businessman arraigned at Kisutu Court

Dar es Salaam. Former Simba Sports Club players’ registration committee chairman Zacharia Hans Poppe has been arraigned at the Kisutu Resident Magistrate’s Court alongside another businessman Franklin Lauwo.

The duo were brought to the court on Tuesday October 16 at 9:30am by the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) officials and were taken straight into cell to await facing their charges.

On April 30 this year, the court ordered the arrest of Mr Hans Poppe and Mr Lauwo.

This was after the prosecution from PCCB told the court that the Bureau had been tracing their whereabouts since March 16 but in vain.

Mr Hans Poppe was arrested Sunday October 14 in the afternoon at the Dar es Salaam’s Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam, reportedly on his way from Dubai.
