AFD high-level delegation on tour of Tanzania

Dar es Salaam. A high-level delegation of French Development Agency (AFD) is visiting Tanzania as part of East Africa’s mission.

It is led by CEO Rémy Rioux.

Others in the team of high-ranking officials are Charles Trottmann, Mathilde Schneider, Rima Le Coguic, Bruno Deprince and Emmanuel Baudran.

Their two-day visit started in Tanzania and marks the AFD 10th anniversary.

Later, they will tour Kenya.

An AFD statement noted on Monday, June 18, 2018 that the delegation would meet senior government representatives.

They include Water and Irrigation minister Isack Kamwelwe, Energy minister Medard Kalemani, Bank of Tanzania governor Florens Luoga and Treasury permanent secretary Doto James.

AFD has financed various water projects in Mwanza, Bukoba and Musoma.

 According to the statement, AFD has also supported the Tanzania Electric Supply Company.
