4m business operators to benefit from finance training

Dar es Salaam. At least 4 million operators of micro, small and medium enterprises will be trained on business administration by April next year, the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) has said.

The training will be conducted by the TPSF and the Financial Sector Deepening Trust Fund. “We are committed to offering training to entrepreneurs across the country on how to take full advantage of the newly launched information portal for business operators,” noted TPSF executive director Godfrey Simbeye.

He said the training would be offered through radio programmes, television and workshops.

Such workshops will be conducted in Mbeya, Dodoma, Kigoma and Geita between September 1 this year and February. Radio programmes on business administration will start in April in Dodoma, Geita, Kigoma and Mbeya.

Businesspeople will learn how to start, finance, manage, access markets and expand their undertakings, according to Mr Simbeye. An entrepreneurship and economic development consultant with the TPSF, Mr Haji Dachi, told journalists that the training would be carried out by renowned local business experts. “We want to simultaneously promote the information portal and offer training, build confidence and develop business skills for sustainable business.”
