Vodacom unveils promotion of mobile farming initiative

Vodacom representatives sharing new service with users 

Mbeya. Vodacom Tanzania is campaigning for its mobile agriculture initiative aiming at expanding use of mobile financial services to the farmers as part of the company’s celebration of Farmers Day.

The mobile agriculture solutions called ‘mFarming’ under the Connected Farmers Alliance (CFA) also helps farmers access real-time information on weather forecasts, crop and livestock management tips including advice on topics such as pests and disease treatment. 

“We are spreading this message to the farmers as well as selling genuine mobile phones so that they can experience our distinguished services,” said the company’s public relations manager Mr Matina Nkurlu.
