Coca-Cola introduces zero sugar content drink in Tanzania

Kilimanjaro. Coca-Cola Tanzania has introduced Coca-Cola Zero Sugar as it seeks to appeal to the ever-increasing health cautious consumers.

The product has the same taste as original Coca-Cola.

At group level, Coca-Cola introduced Coke Zero in 2006.

“The name has been altered to ‘Coca-Cola Zero Sugar’ from ‘Coca-Cola Zero’ so as to give consumers a clear description of the beverage, which is zero sugar content,” Bonite Bottlers marketing and sales director Christopher Loiruk said yesterday.

“Coca-Cola Zero Sugar caters for our consumers looking for choice of full or zero sugar options from their favourite beverages to be more in control of their dietary intake,” he said.

Coca-Cola Zero Sugar will be in a new packaging in line with the global ‘One Coca-Cola Brand’ strategy to reflect the iconic appeal of the Coca-Cola brand and red disc to the zero sugar version. The One Coca-Cola Brand strategy which entails new graphics for the packaging was introduced in other global markets such as Great Britain, Mexico and South Africa last year.

In Tanzania, graphics for the One Coca-Cola Brand will come into effect this month.
