CDEA boss wins national and regional CEO awards

Culture and Development East Africa (CDEA) executive director Ayeta Anne Wangusa was awarded a country (Tanzania) and regional (East Africa) award by CEO Global's Africa's Most Influential Women in Business and Government Award in the Arts and Culture category.

CEO Global (Pvt) Limited is a South African Company that runs two key  programmes at country, regional and continental level namely: Most Influential Women in Business and Government and Titans: Building Nations programmes for women and men respectively. The respective programmes honour the unsung heroes and heroines in Africa’s business landscape.

 

Most Influential Women in Business and Government programme is conducted through a

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​thorough nomination process in several countries and regions,  where women are nominated in various sectors. They are then judged by independent panels and audited by KPMG. The winners and finalists are announced at the country and regional levels.

 

The road show kicks off in South Africa during women’s month in August. The Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government goal is to break new ground each year through covering the length and breadth of Africa.

 

The continental award ceremony will be held in South Africa in November 2017, where all regional winners will be the nominees for the continental award. The regional winners will have an opportunity to meet potential investors

CDEA will on October 13, 2017 launch an  online information and marketplace portal focused on trade in goods and services in the East African Common Market in the following  creative industries: fashion and accessories design, film, interior and spatial design, literary arts and books, music and visual arts.
