Diamond breaks silence and admits he fathered Hamisa’s son

Forty One days after model and video queen Hamisa Mobeto gave birth to a baby boy whom she gave what many thought was a controversial name the truth has finally been laid bare.

Days after the model posted pictures of her son on social media, Diamond came out to clear the air confirming that it is true he had fathered the baby with the model.

Speaking on Leo Tena, Diamond said it was an agreement that they entered after the model got pregnant that he would take care of her during that period and take care of baby thereafter.

“When the baby was born, I was in London I asked my mother to go and see the baby in hospital because he was born through a C-Section but it seems Hamisa was up to something because while she was there she was recorded,” he said.

He, however, said that the kind of atmosphere that the model created was one that was meant to brew controversy, one that sent signals that I had deserted her in her hour of need.

“I took care of her and even the hospital bills were paid by me and I even instructed my personal doctor to be on standby just to make sure that she delivered safely,” Diamond Platinumz told Leo Tena.

He added: I even bought for her a car to make her life easy and gave her Sh 7 million to take care of little issues. After she told me that she was pregnant, I told her that I was a family man and this should be a secret.

He, however, said the atmosphere that the model tried to create was one that would create animosity between him and his spouse.

“The things that Hamisa was posting were very negative and damaging, all I want was the child to be raised in proper way,” he said.

Diamond said that the name that the model gave the baby was not the one that he had given.

The admission became the most trending issue on social media as his fan base sought to know what was next between the singer and Ugandan socialite Zari.

In a quick rejoinder the WCB boss said he had discussed everything with his spouse and that it took him a while before he could find the right words to tell the mother of his two children.

“On three occasions I tried but I failed because I just could find a way to tell Zari but finally I had to come to terms with the reality and tell her the truth,” he said.

The singer who sounded very apologetic to Zari, his family and his children said there is no way that he can leave the mother of his two children for the model , he however fell short of naming the wedding date.

Hamisa and Diamond first met in 2010 long before Diamond met the Ugandan socialite on what famous became christened as the ‘Project’.

According to Diamond they parted ways and the model went on to meet veteran DJ Majay with whom they got baby girl.

 Though both parties were in constant denial the flames were only reignited during the shooting of his hit single Salome.
