Dodoma. The fate by fired workers, who secured jobs using forged certificates, is still hanging in the balance.

This was revealed on August 15, 2018 by the Director of Legal Services at the Social Security Regulatory Authority (SSRA), Mr Onorius Njole.

Mr Njole said the authority had no problem with paying the sacked workers if they presented letters from their employers.

The director stressed the SSRA will not deny anyone his or her terminal benefits, but none of the fired workers has come with a letter from their employers, which makes it difficult for the authority to approve payments.

“What they need to do for us to release their terminal benefits is to submit letters from the employer. The money will be deposited in their accounts in accordance with the law,” Mr Njole clarified

The SSRA legal service director explained that they were just awaiting to see how the government would bring the issue to an end, reiterating that any sacked worker with a letter from his/her employer would get their terminal benefits.
