Dar es Salaam. A US-based entertainment company, Klobaa, is set to launch a mobile application in Dar es Salaam that will guide fun lovers to various entertainment destinations in the country’s largest commercial city.

The app aims at, among other things, connecting night club lovers and tourists wishing to visit lounges, bars, restaurants and events happening in the city at a particular moment.

The Klobaa executive director, Mr Perrycurtis Elechi, told a news conference in Dar es Salaam on Friday that the app would be launched at Kijitonyama Posta area in Kinondoni District during an event dubbed ‘Mwendo Kasi Festival.”

“In addition to this app, we will be putting together a few initiatives aimed at empowering the Tanzanian Youth,’’ said Mr Elechi adding:

“We intend to take this connection with African culture, art, tourism and entertainment, including the Africans living in the diaspora,’’ he explained.

The idea behind the initiatives, he said, would be to provide educational assistance to the less privileged students in the society.

Mr Elechi was accompanied by local Artistes from the Navy Kenzo group, who are local ambassadors for the Klobaa Company.

Speaking to reporters yesterday, Haika Marealle, one of the Navy Kenzo artistes, said the tomorrow’s Mwendo Kasi Festival would be coloured by most of the popular artistes in Tanzania such as Ali Kiba, Christian Bella, Juma Nature and Nay Wa Mitego.

Dar es Salaam is filled with many night clubs and bars, filling the streets with their music. It might come as a tough choice in deciding which one to go to.
