Dodoma. The government has directed all embassies to register Tanzanians working abroad.

The deputy minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Dr Suzan Kolimba, said on Monday, May 21, that the government also had procedures to follow before the Tanzanians work.

She was responding to a question by Ms Maria Kangoye (Special Seats -- CCM) who wanted to know what the government was doing to end mistreatment of Tanzanians working abroad.

"I call upon Tanzanians who want to work to follow procedures to protect themselves and help them to get assistance easily when there is a need," said Dr Kolimba.

According to her, the procedures require an agent and a contract from the embassy.
