Graça: Women must be catalyst for positive change

Dar es Salaam. Former Education Minister of Mozambique and global advocate for health and women’s rights, Ms Graça Machel has called upon women in Africa to be catalyst for positive change.

Ms Machel made the statement on Saturday in her concluding remarks on the three-day forum dubbed, “Women Advancing Africa (WAA),” held in Dar es Salaam.

She said women shouldn't fear to participate in development projects in their endevours to generate income.

“As change makers, we also need to have collective organisation to defend our own values," she said.

On their part, participants said a three day program has expanded their knowledge on doing things. "It has been of help, and I look forward to reaching many people who didn't attend,"said Ms Everine Warioba.
