Lake Zone pupils dominate the list of best 10 performers in Standard 7 exams’ results

Dar es Salaam. Six pupils from the Lake Zone have made to the list of the ten best performers in the Standard Seven National Examination results released on Tuesday, October 23.

Briefing journalists in the city, National Examinations Council of Tanzania’s (Necta) executive secretary Charles Msonde named the best pupil as Ndemezo Lubonankebe from Kadama Primary School based in Geita Region. The second best performer is Innocent Seleli. The third is Given Cosmas Malyango from Tumaini Junior of Arusha.

While Diomedes Mbogo from Achileus Kiwanuka Primary School emerged the fourth best pupil as Sweetbert John from Mingas Primary School in Shinyanga came fifth.

Others are Najma Manji from Nyamunge Primary School who came sixth, Beatrice Jeremiah from Mapinduzi B Primary School Mara Region who came seventh.

Mohamed Mohamed was ranked eighth and Luqman Ally ranked ninth, both of who came from Raskazone Primary School based in Tanga Region. Francisco Maiga from Kadama Primary School completed the list.

According to Dr Msonde, the pass rate has increased by 4.96 per cent compared to last year’s.

He also named the least performing schools as including Mangika Primary School (Tanga), Mwazizi Primary School (Tabora), Isebanda Primary School (Simiyu) and Malagano Primary School (Tabora).

Others are Magana Primary School (Mara), Kododo Primary School (Morogoro), Mtindila and Mavuli primary schools both from Tanga.

Also on the list are Lumalu Primary School (Ruvuma) and Chidete Primary School based in Dodoma Region.
