Dar es Salaam. Actress Elizabeth Michael, alias Lulu, has started her community service sentence in Dar es Salaam. The young actress, who was convicted in 2017 of culpability for the death of actor Steven Kanumba in 2012, and sentenced to two years, will be cleaning at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking to The Citizen on Tuesday, Director at National Probation Service Mr Charles Nsanze said Lulu will join nine others, doing the same kind of community service at the Ministry’s premises.

He explained that the actress will spend four hours everyday, and then proceed with her personal schedule. Mr Nsanze said that Lulu started performing her sentence on Monday, and will continue until November this year.

“She will only do her community work on week days, and rest on the weekends. She will also be working with nine others,” Nsanze said.
