Magufuli meets leaders of CCM wings at State House

Dar es Salaam. The CCM national chairman, President John Magufuli, on Friday, May 25 met with leaders of three top party wings at the State House.

They are chairman of the Parent’s wing, Dr Raymond Mndolwa, chair lady of women’s wing (UWT) Ms Gaudensia Kabaka and Kheri James, who the chairman of the youth wing, (UVCCM).

A statement issued by the director of the Presidential communication, Mr Gerson Msigwa, said the President also met the former President and party chairman, Mr Benjamin Mkapa as well as CCM’s mainland vice chairman Philip Mangula.

According to Mr Msigwa, the party wing leaders briefed Dr Magufuli on achievements that they have attained so far in their institutions.

They also conveyed greetings from the South African President, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa, his Zimbabwean counterpart, Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa and other leaders of ruling parties from the duo countries.

“We have come to share with him a summary of our trip and more over discuss better ways that we can  do to lead our organisations,” said Dr Mndolwa.

For her part, Ms Kabaka said: “We have delivered the sincerely greetings from President Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe and Ramaphosa of South Africa. They are highly depending on us, and demanded for a continued cooperation between CCM and their parties.”

“I had an opportunity to deliver the greetings from UVCCM to our counterparts of Africa National Congress (ANC) of South Africa and Zimbabwe’s ZANU-PF, they acknowledge the role played by CCM during their struggles for independence,” said Mr James.
