NBC gets new board chair

Dar es Salaam. NBC limited has appointed Mr Francis Mwakapalila as its new board chairman.
The appointment is with effect from today July 22.
He succeeded Dr Kassim Hussein, who was interim chairman.
According to the bank’s statement, Mr Mwakapalila has served in various capacities in the government.
“His vast experience in accounting and auditing will help to steer the bank to greater heights,” read part of the statement.
Further it read that, Mr Mwakapalila is currently the government’s accountant general, a position he has held since 2015.
