Narcotics case against Manji postponed to July 23

State Attorney Adolf Mkini’s to the request court to set another date for the mentioning of the case was agreed by Resident Magistrate Cyprian Mkeha. Mr Mkeha postponed the case until June 23, when it will come for mentioning.

Dar es Salaam. A case of using narcotics facing quality group chairman Mr Yusuph Manji has been postponed to June 23 after the prosecution side requested for more time to complete their investigations.

State Attorney Adolf Mkini’s to the request court to set another date for the mentioning of the case was agreed by Resident Magistrate Cyprian Mkeha. Mr Mkeha postponed the case until June 23, when it will come for mentioning.

Mr Manji landed in trouble after Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda named him as among people wanted for questioning over their alleged involvement in drug use and trading. He appeared before the court on February 16 facing two counts of possessing and using narcotics.

He presented himself to police and charged with drug use. He was released on bail and admitted to Muhimbili National Hospital and lately Aga Khan Hospital.
