Nnauye cheats death in road accident

  • Mtama Member of Parliament Nape Nnauye has been involved in an accident when the vehicle he was travelling in overturned at Kibutuka Village in Lindi Region on Monday, September 24. Nnauye and four other people in the vehicle were not injured.

Dar es Salaam. Mtama Member of Parliament Nape Nnauye has survived death in a car accident which occurred on Monday, September 24, at Kibutuka Village in Lindi Region.

Speaking to The Citizen, Mr Nnauye said four other people who were on-board were also safe and that nobody sustained injuries.

The firebrand politician named others who accompanied him as Star TV journalist based in Lindi Josephin Kibiriti and the Nachingwea CCM Publicity Secretary, Mr Mohamedi Chiwalo.

“We were travelling to Liwale from Mtama when our car overturned but we are all safe. We are waiting for another car that will take us to Liwale,” Mr Nnauye.

Mr Nnauye said he was set to attend the CCM regional executive committee meeting.

For his part, Lindi Regional Police Commander Prodecina Protas has confirm the occurrence of the accident and added that police have already started investigating the cause for accident.
