European stock markets sank again in opening trade on Thursday as investors continued to fret over geopolitical tensions between the United States and North Korea.

 

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index fell back 0.7 percent to 7,448.98 points.

 

In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.2 percent to 5,133.64 points compared with the closing level on Wednesday.

 

Frankfurt's DAX 30 was also down, shedding 0.1 percent at 12,142.62 points.
