Taifa Queens launched their East African Community Games campaign with a 79-14 win over hosts Burundi on Sunday.

Dar es Salaam. The national netball team, Taifa Queens, coach, Mwajuma Kisengo, has showered praise on her players following their convincing win in Bujumbura, Burundi.

Taifa Queens launched their East African Community Games campaign with a 79-14 win over hosts Burundi on Sunday.

Kisengo said yesterday that her players played in accordance with her instructions in their first match of the inaugural event.

Taifa Queens will swing back into action tomorrow when they take on Uganda before facing Burundi again on Friday.

The runners are Marco Joseph, Fabiano Sulle, who will compete in 5000m and 10,000m in men category while women are Natalia Sulle and Angelina Yumba who will compete in same distance.

Also in the list are Ally Hamis Gulam who will compete in 100m and 200m, Neema gadiye (800m, 1,500m) and Rose Seif who will compete in 200m and 400m respectively. The list also includes Michael Gwandu who will feature in jumps. The team will be under coach,
