A win for the Morogoro side will be their fourth in a row and will take their points to 12 points.

Dar es Salaam. The Vodacom Premier League continues today with leaders Mtibwa Sugar looking to stretch their winning run when they face Ruvu Shooting at Mabatini ground at Mlandizi, Coast Region.

A win for the Morogoro side will be their fourth in a row and will take their points to 12 points.

In contrast, Ruvu Shooting will be attempting to register their first win of the new season at their home turf.

Mtibwa Sugar, who have in recent seasons made impressive start only to falter in latter stages, beat Stand United, Mwadui FC and Mbao at their Manungu Complex.

This will be their first match away from home and head coach Zubery Katwila yesterday admitted that it would not be a walk in the park against Ruvu Shooting, who are under Abdul Mutik Haji.

Katwila said they were targeting victory over Ruvu Shooting and that players were in high morale. According to him, the team had all its players available for the match and that he was facing a challenge to select the starting team. “We are looking victory in order to be firmly on top of the log. We are confident of getting the three points tomorrow (today), but I must admit that it’s not going to be easy because we know that Ruvu Shooting will be fighting for their first win of the season,” said Katwila.

Ruvu Shooting head coach Hajji said they were prepared well for the match, but he also admitted that they will have to be at their best to beat Mtibwa Sugar. “We are ready to go. This is our chance to reverse our trend, but honestly, we will have to be disciplined enough to get the points at stake,” said Hajji.

He said that they know how strong their opponents were, but they have a game plan that would see Mtibwa Sugar go down.

Other matches, which will be played today, include Stand United who will clashing with Mbeya City at Kambarage Stadium in Shinyanga and Azam FC versus Lipuli at the Azam Complex.
