Dar es Salaam. Tanzania’s Mada Maugo lived up to his pre-match tough talk by beating Malawian boxer Charles Misanjo at the PTA Hall on Saturday night.

Global Boxing Council (GBC) super featherweight champion Tanzanian Ibrahim Class also had a field day as he registered a Technical Knockout (TKO) win against Baina Mazola at the same venue.
"I'm happy to win the bout. This win is an inspiration that hard work pays in the end," said Maugo.
"I believe I gave my best in the ring. We were all interested in the belt but at the end of the day only one person has to go with it home," he added.
The bouts were organised by Sophia Mwakagenda of Lady In Red Promotion in collaboration with She Can Foundation.
