Dar es Salaam. Plans are afoot for Floyd Mayweather to include Tanzania’s Hassan Mwakinyo in the list of boxers who box under his promotional company, The Money Team (TMT).

TMT is among international firms that are interested in drafting in Mwakinyo after his sterling show in Saturday’s fight against England’s Sam Eggington at Birmingham Arena, according to the boxer’s manager, Rashid Nassoro.

On Saturday night, the 23-year-old boxer lived up to his reputation as one of the fast-rising professional fighters when he recorded a Technical Knock Out (TKO) win over Eggington at Birmingham Arena.

Nassoro told The Citizen by phone from London yesterday that Mwakinyo would sign a contract with one of the firms after consulting officials of Tanzania Professional Boxing Regulatory Authority (TPBRC).
