SportPesa partners with Airtel to reward Airtel Money Customers

Dar es Salaam. Airtel Tanzania has partnered with SportPesa to launch a one month customer promotion dubbed “AmshaAmshanaAitel Money Ushinde” where Airtel customers will stand a chance to win different prizes when betting through Airtel Money.

Airtel Tanzania Director of Marketing IsackNchuda said that, this is another opportunity for Airtel to reward its loyal Airtel Money users through this consumer promotion.

“Airtel has been introducing innovative services and products that are exciting and interactive to create a firm bond with our customers. We are aware of the love for sports and betting that has become a lifestyle for most of our customers. In launching today’s partnership with SportPesa, we are giving customers a chance to win various prizes when betting through Airtel Money,” said Nchunda

Nchunda said that the entry for each day will start at 00.00hrs and close at 23.59 hours for the whole duration of the promotion and what Airtel customer will need to do to participate is to bet on the day that there is a draw and automatically their number will enter into the weekly draw.

“‘Airtel Money customer will simply place a bet within the promotion period to enter the draw, said Nchunda adding that customers must make sure that the SportPesa wallet is prefunded with funds for betting,” he said.

He added that a draw engine will be used to select winners under the supervision of the Gaming Board of Tanzania which is authorized to control all gaming games in the country.

Nchunda named daily prizes as smartphones, Jerseys for Simba and Yanga clubs, match tickets to watch Simba and Yanga games for the entire season while weekly draws are 32 inch color televisions and Decoders from Star Times.

He said  theAirtel Money customer will simply place a bet within the promotion period to enter the draw, said Nchuda adding that customers must make sure that the SportPesa wallet is prefunded with funds for betting.

On his part, the Director of Administration and Compliance SportPesaTarimba Abbas said that there will be daily and weekly draws conducted once per week. ‘Airtel and SportPesa will be announcing the winners and publish their names in some newspapers and electronic media

Tarimba said the winners who win Smartphones, Television, Jersey or Yanga and Simba  matchestickets will have to show proof of their  voting identification card,  driving license, Passport or Letter from Local Government to claim his or her prizes. There will be no extra charges or fees to collect any of the prizes insisted Tarimba

He said that a customer will be required to enroll, top up SportPesa wallet using Airtel Money Waller and proceed to place a bet. The deadline for winners to claim their prizes will be on August 31 and prizes will not be exchanged for monetary value. The winners can collect their prizes from any Airtel Shop branch across the country.
