TTCL to provide 4G super-fast internet countrywide

Dar es Salaam. In a bid to rejuvenate itself through provision of quality and modern services, the improved Tanzania Telecommunications Company Limited (TTCL) has set targets to provide 4G super-fast internet countrywide by 2018.
The company has started to issue the service in some parts of Dar es Salaam, its relationship manager, Mr Nicodemus Mushi, told The Citizen on Friday.
Addressing a press conference at Tanznaia, Information Services (Maelezo) auditorium, Mr Mushi said TTCL is set to connect public institutions, civil society organisations (CSOs) and individual users with 4G-LTE super-fast internet to ease their telecommunications.
He mentioned nine regions that will initially benefit from the TTCL drive to spread the service as Arusha, Iringa, Mbeya, Dodoma, Morogoro, Mtwara, Mwanza, Tanga, Kilimanjaro and Unguja.
“Through our strategic business plan we intend to increase our presence in the market by ensuring that we offer unmatched quality services and increase accountability and efficiency,” he said.
On the other hand, Mr Mushi said TTCL was poised to heed the government directive to shift its base to Dodoma. “We have already improved our Dodoma office,” he said.

He added that the company puts more efforts to improve IP Core Network, IP transport Network and Metro Network countrywide to attract the competitive market and ensuring the services offered to customers are of good quality.
