Tanzania contestant at Miss Universe asks for more votes

As the final event expected on Sunday this week, Tanzanian contestant Lilian Erika has asked Tanzanians to continue voting to increase her chance of being crowned as the 66th Miss Universe Pageant.

Miss Universe world finals are expected to be held on Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada in United States whereby 92 contestants will line up to vie for the crown.

Speaking from Las Vegas, Lilian said she was confident to excel in the world contest due to her ability to perform well in the previous stunts.

“Votes from Tanzanians are important for me to move forward in this contest. I assure Tanzanians that I will never let them down,” she told The Citizen from Vegas.

She said her strategy to grab the crown lie on her ability to perform better in different stages of the contest started few days ago.

“I believe that I am going to win this contest, based on my ability in both pre-finals and grand finale stages,” she said.

The Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation’s radio presenter, Lilian said she was confidence on her preparations, although she also admits over increased stiff competition from other contestants.

“Everyone came here expecting to win the contest. I believe every contestant has a chance, but both audience votes and personal ability on preliminary stages are important for the winning chance,” she said.
