Unite to attract funding, TIC director tells start-ups

Dar es Salaam. Tanzania Investment Center (TIC) executive director Geoffrey Mwambe has called on start-up companies to use collective investment schemes to address the challenge of capital.

He was speaking during a meeting organised by Tanzania Food and Drugs Authority (TFDA) and Tanzania Private Foundation (TPSF) to discuss challenges facing the food processing sub-sector on 30 July 2018.

Mwambe said those who wish to invest in the sector to form a group of at least five people and pool their capital.

"Start small but think big. We should have that spirit, if we are to move on," he said.

Meanwhile, TPSF executive director, Mr Godfrey Simbeye has challenged new investors to prepare good business plans that would attract lenders.
