 By Maimuna KubegeyaEntertainment Africa Ltd, a company dealing with betting games, has officially been launched in Dar es Salaam, assuming the operations of National Bingo Games. The firm, trading as Premier Betting, has also launched its first live draw show, which will be aired every Thursday at 9pm by the Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC1) television station. The firm’s chief operations manager, Mr Javier Diaz Del Rio said Premier Betting will be holding Premier Bingo, Easy Bingo and Sports Betting games. He said on Thursday during the launching ceremony that the programme aims at offering knowledge on how to make money through bingo games and encouraging the public to participate in such games. Mr Rio said a player in Easy Bingo game can win from 10 up to 50,000 times his/her monthly wage, while in Premier Bingo, a player can win up to 8 to 10 per cent of his/her company’s total sales per day. “Sports betting add another dimension of excitement to our portfolio. We have already seen a lot of winners who have shown excellent skills in predicting sports results,” he said. Mr Rio said revenues from Premier Bingo and Easy Bingo games are distributed among players, while the government will earn in form of gaming tax, gaming royalty, gaming levy, Value Added Tax, Income Tax and Withholding Tax.
