As we're approaching to the October 2010 we should be very careful with the proliferation of Opinion Surveys (researches that claim to provide the state of politics in the country and election in general). There is a need for such surveys to provide adequately the methodology used: sample; nature of questions; statistical analysis etc.It is misleading to say Kikwete's votes will drop without giving the percentage of that drop. What puts me off is the contrading statements from the report: 1."CCM still wants President Kikwete to be its sole presidential candidate for 2010 General Election, where he is expected to win with fewer votes because of lost confidence to his government by Tanzanian voters," said the report. And 2."There are limited chances for President Kikwete to be nominated as CCM flag bearer if he intensifies war against corruption and drags the party's big wigs to court," said the EIU with experience of over 60 years in research. From these two statements the following question can be asked: If CCM still wants JK as their sole presidential candidate for 2010 elections, how then is he not going to be nominated? And Tanzanians want a president who can fight corruption, how then comes that as he intensifies the war against corruption he is not going to be nominated? Or is CCM = Corruption? On this point i find the find something should be wrong with this research. I think the researchers are not aware of how CCM works. Generally I question the science which went through this research. It is pit for the 60 years organisation experienced in research to argue this way. My felow Tanzanians we should be very careful with the surveys which keep on confusing people. Just a month ago or so we heard from another group Synovate that JK's performance is sound and appreciated by most Tanzanians. Today we hear the contrary; tommorrow will come another group etc!! This is confusion.

Can we say he has done something in soccer? I don't think so. Even the error of Mwinyi and Mkapa we had better teams. Remember the times of the Malota Soma? Zamoyoni Mogela, Hamis Tobias Gaga, Iddie Pazi, Aziz Nyoni, Marco Pollo, Stephen Nemesi, Mwameja, Saidi Sued etc etc , soccer was best back then. What do we have now? These discipline lacking bunch of lads? Who don't even care or have a lil pride for their nation and allow Uganda to make fools of us in our own turf? And he is supposedly is the one who loves soccer that the rest of presidents? What has Kikwete done? As for me, he has done nothing. And I see no reason to pick him again. Once you fail to do something in your first 5 years when you had all the motivation to, what can guarantee that you will do anything when you get 5 more years? In fact I think now he will be plotting how to get the last chunk out of the govt pockets to live his luxurious for decades to come...... Sort of GO OUT WITH A BANG in his POCKET not him lifting the nation. The man lacks direction for god's sake, where can he take us? Lead us to be the poorest country in the world?
Watanzania, lets just be honest here, and ask ourselves what this kasmall Kikwato has done for our nation. I for one see noting that I can write down as his legacy other than UZURURAJI. For real....what else does this guy do? Other than just touring the world? The national stadium is Mkapa's babe. The drive to create more schools' Mkapa's drive. Major roads construction, Mkapa's drive. Even Mwinyi was better, he at least was a good transition after the president of Africa Mwalimu. Mwinyi somehow opened up the system and encouraged activity and put a good ground for Mkapa to take over. Kikwete? What has he done? What? Please someone show me. Is it the national team? Where he hired an unknown coach who even his own country can not recognize? And yet pay him millions? Go to Brazil today and ask is this dude is know in their soccer world, they will probably ask you to repeat the name several time and they guarantee you of being mistaken or drunk! Can we say he has done something in soccer? I don't think so. Even the error of Mwinyi and Mkapa we had better teams. Remember the times of the Malota Soma?
If Tanzanians were to be careful, Kikwete does not deserve a second term thanks to messing even worse than his predecessor. He came to power by rigging and stealing from the treasury. Refer to EPA mega theft he perpetrated. What's more, for five years he's been in power he has done nothing but looting and politicking. In a nutshell Kikwete is a let down that does not deserve to be re-elected.
