The government has failed miserably to manage Tanesco. We, Tanzanians, can now easily live without the Tanesco’s electricity.

Our forefathers used candle-light and makoroboi for light. Now with the advent of technology and our young people finding ways to generate electricity the government should close down Tanesco and sack the Energy minister.
It should then ensure that all the turbines and other malfunctioning equipment are repaired. We should then find capable Tanznians who can manage this public power utility and give it a new name.

 There is need to take time and do it well. The longer it takes the better it will be for us Tanzanians to be innovative.

 As it is now with the power rationing or mgao, we have adjusted our lifestyles to the extent that even our sick and aged parents have adapted to the challenges. We will now teach our children the ways of our forefathers. There will be quality time spent with the family, more activity (sports, innovations etc), our children will learn the old games like climbing trees,  playing marbles and other games.

Please shut Tanesco because it has failed to deliver. The government will do Tanzanians great just and good will prevail.
