It’s kind of difficult to look fresh during Ramadhan due to lack of proper sleep. Below are some few tips to keep you fresh and beautiful while fasting: Drink a lot of water during suhur and when you break your fast. Drinking plenty of water will keep your skin supple and ensure that it doesn’t loose its elasticity because of dehydration. Use more moisturiser than usual to avoid dehydrating. Choose gel form moisturiser that you can easily layer on top of your makeup. Try to sleep at least six hours a day to prevent darkness under eye circle. To minimise under eye dark circle and eye bags, use multipurpose eye cream. If you scratch dry skin, it leaves white trails behind, so, use lotion with coconut or olive oil to keep it hydrated. It’s also thin in texture and easily absorbed into your skin. Use lip balms that contains shea butter to keep your lips moist and free from cracking. Shea butter has been known for moisturising, so it can be used anywhere else that needs extra moisture, but this butter is very sticky, so you might want to use it sparingly. Most importantly, eat a balanced diet to stay healthy during this fasting month. You are advised to consume slow digesting foods such as fibre containing-foods rather than fast-digesting foods. Slow digesting foods last up to eight hours, while fast-digesting foods last for only three to four hours. Slow-digesting foods include foods with grains and seeds like barley, wheat, oats, millet, beans, lentils, whole meal flour and unpolished rice. During the holy month of Ramadan, diet should not differ very much from our normal diet and should be as simple as possible. It should be such that you maintain normal weight, neither losing nor gaining. |
