Two weeks after Kenyan Promoters Refigah and Sadaat Muhindi cancelled Bongo Flava Artiste Rehema Chalamila aka Ray C promotional contract due an alleged gross misconduct details for the fallout have started to emerge.
According to the song bird, she got into an agreement with the promoters not knowing that they had other motives.

“They wanted me to perform for a month in Kenya which I duly agreed and cancelled all my shows in Dar. Lakini sikujua sio show wao walitaka mapenzi (It was not show, it was sex)," said Ray C in an interview with a Kenyan newspaper.

According to the contract draft, RayC was supposed to be paid Sh12 million for the eight shows to promote Dash an energy drink in Kenya and another Sh 6 million for two shows in Southern Sudan.

“I came to Nairobi for the deal and I could tell Sadat had hots for me. He kept on flirting with me but because of the deal, I ignored him, hoping he would take the hint and accept rejection like a man," she says.
The 28-year-old singer also claimed that Sadat had earlier on to Dar and invited her to his hotel room.

“He entreated me with Sh450,000 ($300) dollars on the spot, and a choice of Murano or Mercedes S class if I could bend over…imagine, such a nerve, I am not a whore," said the musician who is planning to release her 15 track album soon.

What puzzles everyone is why Ray C accepted a deal from a man who had wanted to sleep with her just three weeks before!
Sadat laughed off the sex advances allegations by Ray C and wonders why she chose to bring it out two months after they had met in Dar.

Recounting last weekend’s showdown, Sadat said he felt cheated after Ray C postponed her flight three times on his cost. On addition to that except for one, planned media interviews never took place a thing that compromised smooth preparations for the planned shows.

"The flight was scheduled for Wednesday morning. At first, she said she was coming with a friend called Jimmy Omenga. She then asked us to change the ticket to Lord Eyez and move her flight to Thursday. The next day she missed the flight and we moved it to Friday morning, then again, Friday evening. You can confirm that from Kenya Airways if you want to," said Sadat.

According to Sadat, when she finally arrived in Nairobi she was visibily tired and wanted to go on stage at 6pm instead of the planned 10.30pm. And when she got on stage, she was acting bizarre at one point almost undressing.

Every one wonders whether this drama is anywhere close to the end as another European based promoter who was supposed to book Ray C for a show seem to be backing out as well citing the upredictability of the artiste.
