What qualifications do you have?
I hold a diploma, but I am raring to pursue further studies till I am 64.

Are you not worried about age?
Never. Age is not a problem in fulfilling my dreams. I believe in myself and I have confidence. Nothing can stop me.

What and where did you study?
I did bookkeeping for two years with the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) and then in 2006, I started QT studies at Magomeni Baptist for one year. As usual, I wanted to study English badly. Later, I shifted to Paseko at Ubungo, where I finished my studies and did Form Four. I got three credits. I then proceeded to St Mary’s International for a diploma in education.

What work experience do you have?
Electrical installation. I also  worked with the Mediteranian Shipping Company and  sold books, before I quit working for other people to start a saloon business.

Why did you decide to go back to school at your age?
All these years I have come to realise that in this world education is the most important thing.

How did your family take it?
They were against it, especially my wife. But later, they all started to understand me.

What is the vision of your English training centre?
The problem with most students in secondary school is language, so I want to help them. In addition, I have plans to open a QT centre to help people who want to study but don’t have a chance in conventional secondary schools.
