By Steven William, Lushoto The parliamentary seat candidate in Lushoto on Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (Chadema), Mr Deogratius Kisandu has promised free primary and secondary education if he is elected. He made the promise on Tuesday when addressing a campaign rally in which he launched the opposition party vision in Lushoto constituency at Kakakuona hall. Explaining further, he said he he would cooperate with stakeholders and within six months they build a modern market for traders and a main bus stand. Explaining on education, Mr Kisandu said children would study from form one to form six without paying a single cent. “I believe this will enable many children access education and equip themselves with knowledge that will help them battle poverty,” he said. On health the candidate said he would sensitize Lushoto residents to register for health insurance scheme but people aged 55 and above would receive free medical services. On water, he said he would effectively supervise the water sources as Lushoto district has a lot of unsupervised water sources. On infrastructure, he said his plans were to improve roads and ensure that they were upgraded to tarmac level across the constituency. He promised youths and women that he would ensure that they were trained on entrepreneurship and loans are availed to them by a fund to be established by himself to that they could employ themselves. |
