The Citizen Correspondent Dar es Salaam. Simba head coach Milovan Cirkovic has hit out at referee Isihaka Shirikisho over the sending-off of Haruna Moshi during their 2-0 win over JKT Oljoro on Wednesday. The Serbian described the decision to dismiss Moshi as a “pathetic sending-off” after he appeared to kicked Omary Mtaki.Cirkovic believes that the red card shown to his dependable marksman should have been yellow. “It was a pathetic decision on the day by the official. These things are not deliberate, he made an honest mistake, but it’s just a shame that he guessed the decision,” said the visibly furious Serb. He continued: “It was really a harsh decision, I could understand if he showed him a yellow card.” The Msimbazi Reds, who relish at the top of the Vodacom Premier League with 34 points, will now miss the services of Moshi in three games.Simba next league action will be against relegation haunted Villa Squad before squaring off against Azam and Dodoma Police. The league leaders had to dig deep to register a 2-0 win with “bad boy” Emmanuel Okwi coming of the bench to score a brace.Cirkovic also expressed his satisfaction with the victory over the Arusha team that went to the pitch with fresh memories of a 1-0 win over Mtibwa Sugar.“We lacked cohesion in the first 20 minutes of the game, but as the match progressed, we managed to dominate them. “Generally, it was good performance against a physical side that marks you tightly, but we’ve to be more clinical in our next games,” he said.Simba information officer Ezekiel Kamwaga told The Citizen that the club would appeal the red card after reviewing a video footage. |
