Dar es Salaam. After a long recess, the second round of the First Division League resumes today with six matches on the card.TFF information officer Boniface Wambura told reporters yesterday that teams in all three groups had already reported at their centres.

"Everything is going according plan as all teams are already at their centres and ready for the battle.
“They had a long break in which I believe they honed their skill properly ahead of the second round, therefore we should expect some very competitive matches,” Wambura said.

The soft-spoken official said Morani FC would kick off their Group A campaign against Burkina Faso of Morogoro in a game expected to attract huge crowds in Kiteto.

According to Wambura, all teams in Group B will be in action today. Small Kids, who are tipped to win promotion, will face Iringa Police at Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro.

Other Group B matches would pit bitter rivals Mbeya City against Tanzania Prisons at the Sokoine Memorial Stadium while Majimaji square off against Mlale JKT at Majimaji Stadium.

In Group C, Arusha FC will have a tall order when they go head-to-head against unpredictable Manyoni while Rhino FC will take on Tabora Police at Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium.

Three teams from each group will qualify for final event where three teams will win promotion to the Premier League.. (By Jesca Nangawe)
