Young Africans (Yanga) are desperately looking for a new home ground following their futile meeting with the government about the prospects of using the National Stadium for Premier League matches. The government through the ministry of Information, Culture and Sports had agreed to lower the hiring cost to 10 per cent, but wanted only one match to be played in a week. The government’s stance forced Simba and Azam to shift to Mwanza and Tanga respectively, leaving Young Africans to continue with talks. The Jangwani Street boys gave the new cost the nod, but differed with the government over the number of matches. Meanwhile; Young Africans captain Fred Mbuna is among 18 veteran players picked to attend a 10-day football coaching course set to start on September 5. The club’s information officer, Louis Sendeu named other players in the list as; Mohamed Hussein, Anwar Awadhi, Idd Moshi, Willy Mtendawema, Ali Mpemba and Salvatory Edward. |
