The Citizen Reporter Dar es Salaam. Organisers of the DSMC Rally Challenge have received a major boost after striking a sponsorship deal with 10 companies.The deal comes just five days before the race, which will serve as the first round of the National Rally Championship (NRC), gets underway. Club’s chairman Saleem Haji disclosed yesterday that SP Distributors through its Monster Energy brand would be the chief sponsor, while nine other firms join as co-sponsors.Haji named the co-sponsors as; Dar Guide, Max Insure, Tanzindia Insurance, Murzah Oil Mills, Sea, Saafa Plastics, MM Signs and Zan Air. The DSMC boss said over 20 prominent drivers have so far confirmed their participation for what promises to be a thrilling race. Haji named some of them as; Erick Comarc, Robert Sander and Kula Vumbi Ladies, all from Arusha.Dar es Salaam will be represented by Kirit Pandya, Dharam Pandya, Fayaz Chandoo, Sonu Tufeil, Munir Farouk and Ahmed Huwel. Other drivers from the host region are; Bob Taylor, Ben Pelser, Jamil Khan, Arif Haji, Saleem Haji and Nizar Abba. |
