This type of lifestyle is known to trigger the chronic fatigue syndrome – an illness of the central nervous system that results in tiredness (fatigue) in human beings. More people suffer from the chronic fatigue syndrome than you might imagine. In the past, many of these cases were misdiagnosed. Today though doctors in developed countries are very aware of the problem and so it is easier for them to conduct testing to confirm this disorder does exist. Fatigue can be life altering. So, if you suffer from some form of pain associated with the chronic fatigue syndrome, getting relief is important. Here are a few suggestions: Review your daily routine Taking a close look at your daily routine and making necessary changes is a great place to start. It can be hard for a person to make such changes due to financial needs, career, and other factors. Yet it is necessary if you are to get past chronic fatigue. Do some daily exercises Getting daily exercise is a real challenge for most of us, and that becomes even more so when you suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome. However, research shows that by getting daily exercises the symptoms can be reduced. Find the right type of exercise to take part in. Your doctor can help you choose and to monitor the results. Find a treatment plan A mental health professional may recommend the use of daily medication, counselling sessions, and cognitive behaviour therapy to help with the situation. A full assessment will be done first to determine what needs are present. Then a treatment plan will be developed to work along with what which your doctor has created. Have a solid sleep schedule Train your body to rest. By going to bed at the same time each night and getting up at the same time each day your body will get into a routine. While it can be tempting with chronic fatigue syndrome to sleep throughout the day you need to avoid doing so. Caffeine and alcohol consumption can make sleep patterns harder to establish so avoid them. While the overall onset of chronic fatigue syndrome still isn’t known, the good news is that many people are able to make a full recovery through these treatment options. This is a serious health condition because it can prevent a person from being able to fully function on many levels. There are two areas of research regarding CFS using very different definitions. Exercise has very modest effects on people who may not have the cardinal symptom of post exertional malaise lasting 24 hours or longer, unrelieved by rest and accompanied by a specific pattern of memory/concentration problems. Without this key symptom and pattern, the diagnosis is in doubt.
Research shows that pacing, which means exercising within the patients limited energy envelope and stopping when symptoms increase, may be most effective for such patients. This may mean less than two minutes of exercise.
Immune boosters have also been shown to be effective in such patients.
