By Vicky Kimaro Ochere Francis' double helped visiting Gormahia claim a commanding 3-0 victory in a friendly international match held yesterday at the Uhuru Stadium The visitors netted the opener barely three minutes from the start when Ochere scored from a close range, capitalising on Simba’s defensive blunder. Gormahia doubled the score in the 13th minute through Okoth Collins’ brilliant strike. Ochere dealt another blow to Simba in the in the 43rd minute with a beautiful goal to give the visitors a comfortable 3-0 lead at the end of the first half. On resumption Simba fought hard for the consolation goal but none of their countless efforts paid off. Gormahia held on to thwart all attempts made by Simba strikers to force the game into 3-0 at the final whistle. Simba missed their several players including their goal hero, Mussa Hassan Mgosi who was with the national team in Algeria for Africa Cup of Nations match against the Desert Fox. |
