SBL female employees join their counterparts across world in celebrating International Women’s Day

Dar es Salaam. Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) ‘Spirited Women’ have marked an international women’s day today by driving Campaign theme #BalanceforBetter, in a way, striving to facilitate balance in work and home life as part of building a more inclusive culture and develop female leaders across management, community and throughout all functions. Spirited Women is referring to courageous bold women.

Marked on the 8th of March, the International Women's Day is a global event celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. International Women's Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action. One thing is for sure, International Women's Day has been occurring for well over a century and continues to grow from strength to strength.

“As women, we are on a positive journey and there is a lot more to do but crucially as the celebrations across the continent have shown, we are well on our way and we are proud of who we are and our commitment to gender diversity,” said the event speaker Ms Mary Rusimbi, the Executive Director of Women Fund Tanzania, at the roof Top of SBL Oyster Office.

At SBL, “Our quest to promote gender parity and our support for ‘Balance for Better’ will not end with IWD celebrations; we will continue working sustainably on the agenda to balance gender in work, career and other fields so as to create an inclusive culture for all”, added Ms Helene Weesie the Managing Director for Serengeti Breweries Ltd.
