Dar es Salaam. Consumers in Tanzania have voted Azam as the best in value for money in several categories of the Zurich-based International Certification Association GmbH (ICERTIAS) Best Buy Award 2017/18.
According to the ICERTIAS’ Thursday September 21’s statement, Azam is best in categories for price-quality ratio.
The ICERTIAS Best Buy Award survey does not measure brand equity or market share, but the research provides insight into a customer’s personal experience, opinions, satisfaction and perceptions, which are used exclusively to gauge the price-quality ratio of goods and services in the market.
With a range of products to meet every customer’s palate, the majority of Tanzanians surveyed have asserted that Azam is their first choice regarding best value for money.
“Surveyed for the ICERTIAS Best Buy Award, respondents were asked, on the basis of their personal experience of specified products or service categories in the Tanzania market, what they felt represented the best price-quality ratio,” the statement said.
Presented with open-ended questions, respondents had a free choice of products and service providers, when answering their preferences, it added.
Among other categories, respondents were asked the following questions:
“In your personal experience, which ice cream producer offers the best price–quality ratio in Tanzania:”
“In your personal experience, which bread producer offers the best price–quality ratio in Tanzania:”
“In your personal experience, which flour producer offers the best price–quality ratio in Tanzania:”
“In your personal experience, which maize meal producer offers the best price–quality ratio in Tanzania:”
“In your personal experience, which digital television service provider offers the best price–quality ratio in Tanzania:”
The majority of those surveyed responded Azam.
These findings come from the Best Buy Award General I 2017/18 research survey conducted in Tanzania in May 2017 by ICERTIAS.
ICERTIAS measures the experience and level of satisfaction expressed by surveyed participants with the price-quality ratio of marketed products and services.
“Having already won the Best Buy Award medal for 2015/16 is further affirmation that Azam truly is fulfilling their own mission on the market and is providing successfully balanced products that are very good quality and affordable in price, making them palatable both to family and individual budgets,” the statement said.
“Every Best Buy Award medal is a voice of consumers and the award of Bakhresa Group is consumers’ expression of confidence in them and testimony of their superb offer on the market. – as emphasised in ICERTIAS,” it added.
