CBA bank, Vodacom Tanzania rewards winners of Shinda na M-Pawa promotion

  • The Shinda na M-Pawa campaign ran for six weeks from November 8 to December 13 and targeted all M- Pawa users. A total of 1,296 customers have so far come out as winners during the promotion. This is proof that CBA Bank’s strive for financial inclusion is gaining momentum.

Dar es Salaam. CBA Bank and Vodacom have handed over brand new Bajaj rickshaws to five M- Pawa customers who have emerged the winners in the just-concluded promotion dubbed Shinda na M-Pawa .

The winners who live and work in different parts of Tanzania                          have taken their Bajaj Rickshaws. They include Abeid Abeid, Lucas Ngoye, Mariamu Barawa, Hassan Msabila and HamisiMpela.

 The winner of the grand prize of Sh10 million, Sophia Sarapion (54) will be handed over her cash prize in January, next year

Sophia who was elated said she was grateful to CBA Bank and Vodacom Tanzania for coming up with the promotion which aimed to empower Tanzanians.

 “M-Pawa did not just help me in the convenience of the day to day transactions, it has completely changed my life, I will invest this money wisely in improving my farming business,” Sophia said.

 She also urged everyone to use M-Pawa and continue banking with CBA Bank so that they can benefit from the competitive rates, amazing services and various incentives offered by the bank.

The Bajaj rickshaw winners were equally excited, applauding CBA Bank and Vodacom Tanzania for the remarkable gesture of giving back to society. They encouraged current customers to continue using M-Pawa and urged others to join.

Speaking at the handover ceremony today morning, Julius Konyani, representative of CEO of CBA Bank, said, “Shinda na M-Pawa promotion aims at promoting financial inclusion, empowering customers to develop a saving culture and promoting early loan repayments.”
